KDU pioneers in introducing online application and eligibility checking programmes in higher education in Sri Lanka

KDU launched its fully-fledge Online Application Programme for the registration of applicants for its courses of study today, with the support of the People’s Bank payment gateway, as the first ever online application system in a Sri Lankan University. It also launched the Online Eligibility Checking programme, which will enable applicants to check their eligibility for different degree programmes as per their qualifications as a first time effort in Sri Lanka as well. Further, the system provides a demonstration video clip in all three languages, Sinhala, Tamil and English, that instructs applicants on how to fill the online application form. This was an initiative taken by the Center for Information Technology Support and Development Services (CITD/DS) of KDU.
