Workshop of Introduction to Procurement Management System

Under the e-KDU 2020 concept, CITS&DS – KDU has introduced a Procurement Management System, and a workshop on Procurement Management System was held on 17.07.2019 in the Computer Lab - 01 with the participation of 63 participants from all departments/faculties/ sections of KDU.
Inaugurating the workshop, Col DLSU de Silva USP – Director IT made a preliminary introduction to the computer software systems introduced by CITS&DS under the concept of e-KDU 2020. Accordingly, the following computer software systems have been introduced; Student Enlistment System, Online Students Portal - Myspace, E mess Bill System, Finance Management System, Procurement Management System and Logistic Management System.
Thereafter, Ms. Buddhika Perera gave a brief introduction to the procurement process in any organization. She described the introduction of the Procurement Management System, which aims to reduce the time for the procurement process and improve the efficiency of the procurement process of KDU.
Mr. R T Seneviratne, Software Engineer at CITS&DS, conducted a training for the participants on how to use Procurement Management System. At the end of the workshop, the technical issues encountered in the practical usage of the Procurement Management System and possible solutions for said issues were discussed.
