Workshop for Physiotherapy Undergraduates
The department of Physiotherapy & Occupational therapy, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, recently organized a workshop targeting Physiotherapy undergraduates with the contribution of well experienced two Australian Physiotherapists.
The workshop was conducted on 05th of December 2016, on the topics, “Musculoskeletal Assessment” and “Physiotherapy in Women’s Health”. Two well known Physiotherapists from Queensland, Australia; Mr.James Benoit B.App.Sci (Physio), Master of Sports Physio and Ms. Karen Benoit B.App.Sci (Physio) were the resource persons for the workshop, held with the participation of all the Physiotherapy undergraduates of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, KDU, the staff of the Physiotherapy Department and a number of Physical trainers from the Army.
Workshop was included with latest theory knowledge and practical demonstrations using an actual patient. This was an invaluable experience for all the participants, where they were exposed to novel theory and practical developments, in the field of Physiotherapy internationally
