A lecture on constitutional Reforms after the War: Problems and Prospects

The Library of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University organized a guest lecture on “Constitutional Reforms after the War: Problems and Prospects” on 19th July 2017. Dr. Kalana Senaratne, a visiting lecturer from the faculty of law at University of Colombo and University of Peradeniya, delivered the lecture.

Analysing the current political situation, Dr Senaratne discussed whether Sri Lanka is truly in need of Constitutional reforms and also was engaged in a discourse with the undergraduates on significant issues including the effect of the recent amendments to the Constitution of 1978.

Brigadier IP Ranasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Defence and Administration), Dean of the Faculty of Law, Mr WM Amaradasa, Academics, tri-service officers and undergraduates of KDU participated in this lecture.
