Visit of Foreign Cadet Delegation to KDU

As Part of a youth Exchange Program NCC under the State Ministry of Defence, a delegation of distinguished military officers and school cadets from Nepal, Bangladesh, India, Maldives and Pakistan visited KDU on 21st October 2017.

Colonel WTWG Ihalage RWP RSP psc the Dean Faculty of Defence and Strategic studies, warmly welcomed the delegation at KDU.

A Penta state delegation; Lieutenant Colonel Bijit Raj Regmi-Nepal army, Brigadier General SM Ferdous-Bangladesh army, Captain Ahmed Samool-Maldives army, Lieutenant Colonel Vivek Shukla-National Defence Academy India and cadet officers of their respective academies accompanied by Lieutenant Colonel WMN Wijekoon of the National Cadet Crops, Sri Lanka were highly appreciated by KDU.

Following the viewing of the KDU video presentation, the visitors had the opportunity to interact with the local cadets and officers of KDU at the Faculty of Defence and Strategic Studies. It was a new experience for both parties to share their experiences, and have a better exposure to foreign military environment and its components.

They also visited the Aeronautical laboratory, Medical Faculty, General Sir John Kotelawala Museum and other vital places during the visit.
