Brigadier Upali Rajapakse Addresses Republic of Indonesian Defense University
The Faculty of Defence and Strategic Studies of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University and the Royal Indonesian Defense University (RIDU) organized the second, consecutive discourse pertaining to the topic; Asymmetric Warfare and the Sri Lankan Experience on 26 April 2022. The discourse was moderated by Ms. Ratna Damayanthi. Dean, Faculty of Graduate studies – Brigadier Upali Rajapakse was the guest speaker for this event.
Brigadier Rajapakse shared his extensive knowledge and experience during his lecture. Furthermore, he elaborated on asymmetric warfare, or the unconventional military practices adopted by the LTTE. Moreover, Brigadier Rajapakse highlighted the role and contribution of regional cooperation in diplomatic manner. The lecture was delivered in a hybrid platform and the audience comprised of academics, senior military officers, undergraduates (KDU), postgraduate students (RIDU) from the Sir John Kotelawala Defence University and the Royal Indonesian Defense University.
