Commencing the Construction of the Seven-Storied Faculty Building Complex for the Faculty of Management, Social Sciences and Humanities

According to the 20-year Master Plan of KDU for providing an improved higher educational experience of international standards for the KDU undergraduates and postgraduates, the infrastructure facilities of KDU will be developed with the inclusion of the latest relevant amenities.

Accordingly, the construction work of the proposed seven-storied faculty building complex with ultra-modern facilities for the Faculty of Management, Social Sciences and Humanities (FMSH) commenced on 11th June 2021. The project with an estimated cost of SLR 517,561958.39 is expected to be completed within 365 days. The event was graced by Major General Milinda Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc Mphil, Vice Chancellor of KDU and other distinguished guests including Deputy Vice Chancellor (Defence and Administration), Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), Deans of Faculties, Senior military officers and the Faculty members of the Faculty of Management, Social Sciences and Humanities. Officials from the Central Engineering Services (Pvt) Ltd, the Contractors for the project, also took part in the event.
