Faculty of Allied Health Sciences signs a partnership agreement with the Kristianstad University, Sweden to receive ERASMUS + funding


In 2019, for the first time in its history, General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University submitted a proposal for the ERASMUS+ program for a capacity building project titled “Enhance the capacity to meet the challenges of caring for the people with neurodegenerative disorders in Sri Lanka by offering Master’s degree for healthcare professionals” with the University of Colombo, the University of Ruhuna, University of Peradeniya and Kristianstad University, Sweden in a consortium.
Faculty of Allied Health Sciences was successful securing the grant and on 16th February 2021 the Vice Chancellor of KDU, Major General Milinda Peiris has signed the agreement with the coordinator of the consortium, Kristianstad University, Sweden, to receive funding to initiate the project.
