KDU enters into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Republic of Indonesia Defence University

The Vice Chancellor of KDU Major General Milinda Peiris and the Rector RIDU, Vice Admiral Prof. Dr. Amarulla Octavian., S.T., M.SC., DESD, signed the Memorandum of Understanding on 01^st July 2021, in a ceremony organized as a hybrid event in the presence of His Excellency the Ambassador of Republic of Indonesia in Sri Lanka Mr. I Gusti Ardiyasa and Minister Counsellor Mr. Heru Prayitno at KDU. The main objective of this MoU is to cooperate in the fields of education, strategic research, and development of institutional linkages concerning defence and security studies. This was a culmination of a friendly relationship initiated when Major General Milinda Peiris in his first tenure as the Vice Chancellor of KDU visited RIDU in 2015.

AP, Chief of Bureau for Academic and Student Affairs, Brigadier General Dr. Yusuf, S.Sos., M.M, Head of Cooperation Division, Colonel (AF) Rujito D. Asmoro, G. Dipl in DS., M.A., RCDS., CPHCM joined the meeting virtually from Indonesia, while Deputy Vice Chancellor (Defence and Admin), Brig. W Chandrasiri RSP USP psc, Dean-Faculty of Defence and Strategic Studies, Col. HMGE Herath RSP USP psc, Director International Relations, Dr KMGP Premadasa, Head of Department, Defence & Strategic studies, Dr Harinda Vidanage and Registrar, Mr VD Kithsiri took part in the meeting from KDU.
