Massey University, New Zealand and KDU to extend agreement between two institutions for academic collaboration

Members of the academic staff of the Center for Defence & Security studies, Massey University, New Zealand and the members of the academic staff from the Faculty of Defence & Strategic studies have successfully conducted a virtual meeting on 21st August 2020 to discuss future collaborations.

During the meeting, both parties emphasized the importance of conducting joint research activities on topic of mutual interest. Appreciating the interest shown by Massey to extend the existing agreement signed in 2012 for academic and research collaboration, Vice Chancellor Maj. Gen. MP Peiris requested the assistance of Massey to initiate collaborative activities with other faculties; specially Engineering and related disciplines.

Professor Cynthia White, Professor Glenn Banks, Professor Rouben Azizian, Dr Raj Prasanna, Ms Angela Drake and Ms Djhoanna Lambert joined from the Massey University New Zealand, while the Vice Chancellor Maj General MP Peiris, Col Sylvester Perera, Lt Col. MTI Gunawardena, Dr KMGP Premadasa, Prof Amal Jayawardena, Prof CL Goonasekara, Dr Harinda Vidanage and Mr Sathees Mohan joined the meeting from KDU. The International Relations Office of KDU facilitated the meeting and assured its fullest support to both parties.
