KDU signs an Industrial collaboration agreement with
OREL Corporation (Pvt) Ltd

KDU aspires to establish closer cooperation with local industries to avail more training opportunities for its undergraduates. As a step forward, KDU has entered in to a MOU with one of the leading Tech companies in Sri Lanka, Orel Corporation (Pvt) Ltd on 22nd September 2021. The aim of this University-Industry Collaboration is to engage in mutually beneficial activities such as talent acquisition, internship opportunities, knowledge sharing, mutual consultations and engage in innovations and invention.

In an event organized at KDU, the MOU was signed by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Defence & Admin) Brigadier W Chandrasiri RSP USP psc on behalf of KDU, while Mr. Dhammika Deshapriya, Head of Sales – Projects representing Orel Corporation (Pvt) Ltd. Delivering his speech, the Deputy Vice Chancellor stated that this is a ‘win-win agreement which is beneficial for both parties’. Mr. Deshapriya, in his speech elaborated key areas that both parties can collaborate even during the current pandemic situation.

Mr. Dhammika Deshapriya, Head of Sales – Projects, Mr. Priyashantha Premarathna, Assistant General Manager- Sales and Operation, Mr. Chathuranga Vidanapathirana, Engineer- Electrical & Electronics were graced the occasion representing OREL Corporation.
