Online “Yoga for Covid Protocol” Session in Celebration of the International Day of Yoga

The International Day of Yoga, evoking the cultural heritage of India for achieving physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing was commemorated by the High Commission of India, Colombo. General (Rtd.) Kamal Gunaratne, WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc Mphil, Secretary to the Ministry of Defence graced the occasion as the chief guest. The audience was welcomed by HE Shri Gopal Baglay, the High Commissioner of India. The Key Note speech was delivered by the Defence Secretary, General (Retd.) Kamal Gunaratne. The online “Yoga for Covid Protocol” session was conducted at General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University on 21st June 2021 under the guidance and supervision of the Vice Chancellor of KDU, Major General Milinda Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil. With the engagement of 20 defence establishments spanning across 150 locations, KDU collaborated for the International Day of Yoga with the distinguished participation of officers and Officer Cadets from 0630 hours to 0745 hours at the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
