Vice-Chancellor Participates in Indo-Pacific workshop

Major General Milinda Peiris, RWP RSP USP VSV LOM ndc psc  was invited to participate in a workshop on “Indo-Pacific Strategy; A global Perspective “organized by the Daniel K Inouye Asia Pacific Center for Security Studies (DKI – APCSS)  in Honolulu, Hawaii from  25th -27th April 2022. DKI APCSS is one of the most prestigious security think tanks in the USA. The workshop was attended by senior leaders throughout the Indo-Pacific region with an overview of the security, economic and diplomatic elements of the Indo-pacific strategy of the Biden Administration. The workshop also discussed strategies emerging outside the region through the participation of the officials from Canada, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and the European Union.  Major General Milinda Peiris officially met with Rear Admiral Peter Gumataotao the Director of DKI APCSS and the Maj. Gen. Suzy Vares Lum, president of the East-West Center, discussed the possible future collaboration with the KDU.
